This follows a warning issued by Donald Trump, who gave Tehran a 48-hour ultimatum to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face the destruction of its energy infrastructure.
He said, “If Iran does not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz and ensure there are no disruptions within 48 hours, the United States will severely destroy its energy facilities, starting with the largest plant.”

Iran’s largest energy facility is the Damavand power plant, located near Pakdasht, southeast of Tehran. It has a generation capacity of 2,868 megawatts.
An Iranian official stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all vessels except those belonging to countries considered enemies.
Iran’s military also declared that the Strait of Hormuz would only be reopened after the United States rebuilds the energy facilities it has destroyed.
The conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States is nearing one month. It has claimed the lives of several senior Iranian figures, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with other top military officials.
According to the U.S.-based human rights organization Human Rights Activists News Agency, more than 3,200 people have been killed, including over 1,400 civilians.
