Lagos to host “Africa Technology Expo 2026” as investment opportunities surge

Africa Technology Expo returns, showcasing emerging technologies and fostering cross-border partnerships in Lagos this June.”

The Africa Technology Expo (ATE) is making a highly anticipated return to Lagos this year, scheduled for 26–27 June 2026 at the National Theatre. Bringing together C-suite executives, investors, enterprise leaders, and policymakers, the event provides a platform to explore opportunities in Africa’s rapidly expanding technology sector.

Now in its third edition, the Expo is expected to attract more than 7,000 participants, many of whom hold senior leadership positions, according to organisers. As a result, it has become an important hub for strategic conversations, partnerships, and high-value business deals across the continent.

The 2026 edition will focus on hardware innovation, robotics, smart infrastructure, and enterprise digital solutions, reflecting Africa’s growing engagement with technologies that are driving real-world industrial and economic transformation. In comparison to the previous year, organisers aim to facilitate up to $890 million in ecosystem deals, significantly higher than the $198 million generated during the last Expo. These deals are expected to include investments, partnerships, and enterprise contracts.

Speaking on the Expo’s goals, CEO Nnaemeka Clinton explained, “Africa has moved beyond experimentation. Today, we are building real digital infrastructure, from data centres and connectivity to robotics and enterprise systems. Therefore, the Expo brings together the builders, investors, and leaders shaping the next phase of Africa’s technology growth,” as Business Insider Africa reported.

In addition, the event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and an exhibition floor showcasing emerging technologies, including Internet-of-Things solutions, robotics, and mobility innovations that address logistics, energy, and connectivity challenges.

Furthermore, the Doing Business in Africa (DBIA) Tour, hosted by Itana, will provide international investors and ecosystem stakeholders with practical insights into Africa’s regulatory and operational landscape, ahead of the Expo.

The 2026 Expo is headlined by Breet, a secure digital asset platform for crypto transactions, and supported by partners including MTN, ZOHO, Maxitech, Nobus Cloud, and Tecno, among others.

The Africa Technology Expo has established itself as a key platform for fostering cross-border collaboration, investment, and innovation, highlighting the continent’s growing role in shaping the global digital economy.
