Prime Minister Nsengiyumva meets new PSF leadership to boost investment and productivity

The meeting took place on April 9, 2026, at the Prime Minister’s office

Prime Minister, Justin Nsengiyumva, met with the newly elected leaders of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) to discuss strengthening collaboration aimed at increasing productivity and promoting investment in key sectors of the economy.

Elections to renew PSF leadership were held in March 2026, in which François Twagirumukiza was elected to replace Jeanne Françoise Mubiligi.

Twagirumukiza is working alongside Jean Claude Uwizeyemungu as First Vice Chairperson and Diane Mukasahaha Kamanzi as Second Vice Chairperson.

The private sector plays a crucial role in Rwanda’s development through investment, job creation, and tax contributions that accelerate economic growth. Through PSF, business actors contribute to infrastructure development, industrial growth, and trade expansion.

PSF is composed of 10 chambers representing different sectors of business and services. It was established in 1999 as a fully private institution, replacing the former Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rwanda, which operated under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The federation has leadership structures from the village level up to the national level, where it advocates for reducing business constraints.

It also organizes the International Trade Fair (Expo), which brings together local and international businesses and helps modernize trade practices.
