Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva, who is on an official visit to Libreville in Gabon, held talks with members of the Rwandan community living in the country, praising their unity and encouraging them to continue contributing to the development of both nations.
After the event, the Office of the Prime Minister announced on X that Dr. Nsengiyumva took time to meet with Rwandans living in Gabon, where he thanked them and offered words of encouragement.
The statement noted that Dr. Nsengiyumva appreciated the unity they continue to demonstrate and the positive way they represent Rwanda abroad, which contributes to the country’s good image internationally.
He also reminded them to continue contributing to the development of their host country while remaining committed to Rwanda.
The statement said: “Dr. Nsengiyumva also encouraged them to continue contributing to the development of both their host country and Rwanda.”
Rwanda and Gabon already maintain cooperation and trade relations, particularly through air transport, with RwandAir operating flights to Libreville, the capital of Gabon.
The two countries first signed cooperation agreements in 1976, which were later revised in 2010.
