Morocco is expanding support for its diaspora through a new mobile initiative aimed at connecting citizens abroad with housing, investment, and urban development opportunities.
The Urban Planning and Housing Caravan, launched in Tangier, is taking government services closer to Moroccans living abroad who visit the country or seek to invest in its development.
The caravan will travel to several cities, including Oujda, Meknes, Errachidia, Beni Mellal, Marrakech, Agadir, Laayoune, Casablanca and Rabat.
The initiative provides direct access to information and guidance from government officials, urban planning agencies and Al Omrane Group. Visitors can explore housing options, real estate projects, investment opportunities and public housing support, including the “Daam Sakane” programme, as Morocco World News reports.
The initiative highlights Morocco’s commitment to building stronger connections with its diaspora and creating more opportunities for them to participate in national development.
As an African nation with a significant diaspora community, Morocco is also strengthening the role of its citizens abroad as partners in investment, economic growth and Africa’s broader development agenda.
