Trump Skips Super Bowl 60, Slams Bad Bunny and Green Day as ‘Terrible Choice’

Trump skips Super Bowl 60, criticizing Bad Bunny and Green Day as the NFL’s entertainment lineup draws controversy.

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed he will not attend Super Bowl 60, scheduled for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, citing the long distance as the main reason. Speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone, Trump said the venue was “just too far away,” while noting that fans at previous Super Bowls “liked” him.

Beyond distance, Trump also criticized the NFL’s choice of performers for this year’s game. He called halftime headliner Bad Bunny and pre-game act Green Day a “terrible choice,” declaring himself “anti-them” and claiming their performances are divisive and “sow hatred.”

The comments add to a long-running public clash between Trump and the artists, who have repeatedly criticized his administration. Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has previously condemned the president’s policies, while Bad Bunny’s performances have sparked controversy among conservative audiences.

Super Bowl 60 is expected to draw millions of viewers worldwide, with the halftime show once again at the center of attention. While Trump’s remarks have generated political debate, the NFL has remained focused on the game and the entertainment lineup, emphasizing the sporting and cultural spectacle of one of the world’s biggest annual events.
