FIFA has issued the most expensive match ticket of FIFA World Cup 2026

The first phase of ticket sales for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has revealed that FIFA is charging up to $10,900 (about 16 million RWF) for a final match ticket

This is the highest price a football fan will have to pay to enter the stadium.

In their original bid to host the tournament, the United States, Canada, and Mexico had indicated that the highest ticket price would be $1,550 (about 2.2 million RWF).

When tickets were first released in different countries in December, the most expensive ticket was priced at $8,680 (about 12.6 million RWF).

Prices increased further on Wednesday when the final phase of ticket sales was launched.

At the previous World Cup held in Qatar, the most expensive ticket cost $1,604 (about 2.3 million RWF).

Comparing the prices announced on Wednesday to those in December shows an increase of about 38%.

In the second category, tickets that were priced at $5,575 rose to $7,380 (an increase of 32.78%), while those that cost $4,185 increased to $5,785 (a rise of 38.23%).
