Negotiations are scheduled for Friday as both sides seek to ease long-running tensions.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced that Iran and the United States will hold new nuclear talks in Oman on Friday, signaling a renewed diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The meeting will take place in Muscat, with Oman acting as a neutral mediator, a role it has played in previous Iran–US negotiations. Discussions are expected to focus on Iran’s nuclear program and related US sanctions, though no detailed agenda has been disclosed.
Relations between Tehran and Washington have remained strained since the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal. While a breakthrough is unlikely, analysts say the talks could help reopen communication channels and reduce tensions.
