Kigali, Rwanda On 27 January 2026, the Government of Rwanda officially launched Mbaza, a new digital platform designed to enable citizens to directly submit their concerns and questions to public authorities in real time, according to the Ministry of ICT and Innovation.
The platform was launched by the Minister of ICT and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, during an event held in Masaka Sector. The initiative aims to enhance accessibility, responsiveness, and inclusivity in public service delivery by providing citizens with a fast and reliable channel to voice their issues.
Mbaza complements existing community engagement mechanisms, including public forums and community meetings, by allowing citizens to raise concerns at any time without waiting for scheduled gatherings.
The platform forms part of Rwanda’s broader digital transformation agenda, which prioritizes the use of technology to improve governance, transparency, and citizen participation.
The development of Mbaza was supported by partners, including GIZ Rwanda, whose collaboration contributed to the successful establishment of the platform.
Authorities expressed confidence that the platform will empower citizens, strengthen accountability, and bring leadership closer to the people, in line with the government’s commitment to people-centered governance.
The launch of Mbaza underscores Rwanda’s strong commitment to digital advancement, demonstrating how the country continues to leverage technology to enhance governance, improve public service delivery, and foster closer connections between citizens and their leaders.
