Rwanda, Kenya police chiefs hold talks to strengthen security cooperation

The Inspector General of the Rwanda National Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, is on an official visit to Kenya, where he held talks with his counterpart, Douglas Kanja

The meeting between CG Felix Namuhoranye and Douglas Kanja took place on March 24, 2026, in Nairobi.

Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the police forces of the two countries through knowledge sharing and collaboration in other areas of mutual interest to Rwanda and Kenya.

The two leaders also discussed the preparation of a cooperation agreement, agreeing to work together in combating cross-border and emerging crimes.

CG Felix Namuhoranye further invited his counterpart to attend celebrations in May, when the Rwanda National Police will mark its 25th anniversary.
