Launched in 2015, IremboGov aimed to digitize public services, reduce waiting times, improve transparency, and promote digital inclusion across Rwanda.

IremboGov offers over 240 services from 38 government institutions, including: birth, marriage, and single status certificates, national IDs and passports, permits and renewalsBusiness registration and licenses, health, insurance, and public safety certificates, etc.

Citizens can apply online 24/7, submit documents, pay digitally, and track progress. Most services are completed within hours, instead of days or weeks previously.

Winning the GovTech Prize demonstrates Rwanda’s leadership in digital governance: Millions of citizens enjoy faster, more reliable services. 1.5 billion working hours saved nationally, and digital inclusion extended to rural and underserved communities.
