FPR youth showcase impact as Bazivamo calls for greater responsibility

The Secretary General of the FPR Inkotanyi, Amb. Christophe Bazivamo, has called on the youth to embrace strong values, use social media responsibly, and remain committed to Rwanda

He made these remarks on March 22, 2026, during the Sixth General Assembly of the FPR Inkotanyi Youth League, where new leaders were also elected.

Amb. Bazivamo urged young people to uphold good values, avoid misuse of social media, protect the country’s image, fight harmful speech and divisionism, and stay devoted to Rwanda.

He said, “FPR Inkotanyi youth should stand out and be exemplary in everything they do, demonstrating cleanliness, discipline, professionalism, and quality service wherever they are. Be role models in your families, especially in your communities. Excel in your work, studies, and leadership. Be a generation that provides solutions wherever you are.”

He added, “I encourage you to contribute to nation-building across all pillars. Focus on technology, you have opportunities that many before you did not have to keep up with modern advancements. On social media platforms, be role models in promoting truth, avoid harmful behavior, protect the image of our country, fight misinformation and divisionism, and use these platforms as tools to build and develop Rwanda.”

He emphasized that wherever they are, young people must reflect a positive image of Rwanda.

He said, “Always remember that wherever you are, especially within the country, you represent Rwanda. Your conduct, speech, and actions must be guided by integrity, respect, dedication, and patriotism.”

He also reminded the youth that the Chairman of FPR Inkotanyi values young people in all national programs, and that the best way to show gratitude is by taking the lead in implementing his vision.

He urged them to be proactive, work together, drive development, and avoid negative behaviors.

Mugisha Ernest was elected as the new Chairperson of the FPR Inkotanyi Youth League, deputized by Rwagitare Nelly as Vice Chairperson.

Other elected leaders include Kwizera Urindwa Esther as Secretary, Nuru Mupenzi Israel in charge of Good Governance, Marie Valentine Niyodusingiza for Economy, Icyoyishakiye for Social Affairs, and Kayiteshonga Kesly in charge of Justice.

He said, “Allow me to promise that we are committed to changing our mindset and acting as true winners. RPF is a winning party, and the youth are the future of our country. What we have achieved today is thanks to our parents, but preserving and building on it will require us, as youth, to work together and combine our talents.”
