Trump shares AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus, sparks Criticism

Donald Trump shared an image generated using artificial intelligence that portrays him as Jesus Christ healing a man lying on a bed, appearing to be ill

The image also shows him surrounded by eagles, fighter jets, United States soldiers, the American flag, and other symbolic elements.

In the image, Trump is depicted wearing a red robe symbolizing the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who shed his blood for the salvation of the world, along with a white garment representing purity.

This image was posted on Trump’s Truth Social account on April 12, 2026, shortly after he criticized Pope Leo XIV, calling him weak on crime and ineffective in foreign policy.

Pope Leo XIV has often condemned U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran and stated that Trump’s threats to destroy Iran were inappropriate and could put civilians at risk.

The attack on the head of the Catholic Church was strongly condemned by Mark Kelly, who said such remarks were unacceptable and noted that ongoing U.S. conflicts continue to have serious consequences for many people, including Americans.
