The 9th graduation ceremony of Rwanda Polytechnic was held at the BK Arena, where over 3,500 graduands from different technical and vocational fields were celebrated for completing their studies.
The ceremony, taking place this Thursday in Kigali, has brought together government officials, academic leaders, industry partners, lecturers, and families in a vibrant atmosphere filled with pride, joy, and celebration as the Class of 2026 is officially recognized.

The Right Hon.Prime Minister Dr. Nsengiyumva Justin joined the event at BK Arena as the Guest of Honour and addressed graduates on the rapid transformation of the global economy driven by technology and innovation.
He noted that the nature of work, communication, and industry is changing at an unprecedented pace, creating both opportunities and challenges for young people entering the workforce.
He highlighted Rwanda’s early and deliberate investment in technical skills, innovation, and practical education as a cornerstone of national competitiveness and transformation, emphasizing the continued focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a driver of job creation, industrialization, and economic resilience.
Addressing the graduates, he encouraged them to embrace adaptability, creativity, and lifelong learning as essential tools for success, reminding them that they are well prepared for the future and fully supported by their country as they step into new opportunities.
In her remarks, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sylvie Mucyo reaffirmed Rwanda Polytechnic’s commitment to supporting Rwanda’s development agenda through innovation, collaboration, and the training of skilled human capital capable of addressing local and societal challenges.

She emphasized that the institution continues to strengthen its presence across the country to expand access to skills-based education, empower communities, and contribute to territorial transformation through practical and innovation-driven learning.
The ceremony is continuing in a festive mood as graduates celebrate their academic milestone with families and friends, marking the end of years of hard work and dedication.
Graduands expressed gratitude for their academic journey and optimism about the future as they prepare to enter the job market or pursue entrepreneurship and further studies. They highlighted the skills and knowledge gained at school as a strong foundation for their next steps, saying they feel ready to apply what they have learned to real-life situations and contribute to Rwanda’s development through innovation, discipline, and practical problem-solving.
NDIZEYE Philemon, a graduate of RP Kigali College, former IPRC Kigali in Information Technology, expressed his commitment to transforming his academic knowledge into real-world projects, with the aim of applying his skills to address societal challenges through sustainable and impactful solutions. He also extended his appreciation to the institution for equipping him with the essential skills and practical knowledge that have shaped his professional readiness.
The event highlights the growing importance of technical and vocational education in Rwanda’s development, as institutions like Rwanda Polytechnic continue to align training with industry needs, innovation, and national transformation goals.
Graduands are from eight Colleges which are; IPRC Kigali, IPRC Tumba, IPRC Gishari, IPRC Ngoma, IPRC Karongi, IPRC Huye, IPRC Kitabi, and IPRC Musanze.
