Rwanda earned over $14.7 million from agricultural exports in five days

The National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) has announced that products exported by Rwanda between May 11–15, 2026 generated $14.7 million (more than RWF 21.5 billion).

The exported products weighed a total of 10,154 tonnes.

Coffee exports totaled 288 tonnes and generated more than RWF 2.1 billion. Tea exports exceeded one tonne and brought in more than RWF 4.2 billion, while vegetables exported during the five-day period reached 316 tonnes, earning the country more than RWF 630 million.

Fruit exports during the same period totaled 462 tonnes and generated over RWF 454 million, while flower exports reached 14 tonnes and earned more than RWF 113 million.

Other agricultural products including sweet potatoes, beans, cereals, and similar crops totaled 7,795 tonnes and generated more than RWF 6.6 billion. Livestock and livestock products exported during the period amounted to 270 tonnes, bringing Rwanda over RWF 565 million.

The main export destinations included the United States, United Arab Emirates, Oman, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and several African countries.
