BEIJING, China has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at strengthening cooperation between large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as part of efforts to boost industrial integration and support innovation-led growth.
According to Xinhua, the initiative, titled the 2026 “100 events for 10,000 enterprises” campaign, seeks to expand matchmaking opportunities, improve collaboration channels, and further deepen links across industrial and innovation value chains
The program is designed to help SMEs connect more effectively with larger firms to integrate more smoothly into supply chains, production systems, and innovation networks
It will establish structured platforms where enterprises can exchange expertise, share resources, and build long-term partnerships across different sectors, thereby contributing to a more connected and dynamic business environment
The campaign will also bring together support from universities, research institutions, intellectual property service providers, and financial organizations to strengthen the broader innovation and industrial ecosystem
These combined resources are expected to improve access to services, highlight enterprise strengths, and, in turn, encourage wider cooperation among market players
A series of themed matchmaking events will focus on key strategic sectors such as robotics, server technologies, and artificial intelligence applications, while also promoting collaboration in fast-growing industries
These engagements are expected to accelerate innovation, enhance industrial competitiveness, and support the development of emerging technologies
Organizers include major national agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the National Intellectual Property Administration, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce
The initiative is expected to further strengthen industrial connectivity and ultimately contribute to sustainable, high-quality economic development
