The Russian Embassy in the UK said London was acting as an accomplice to the attacks, warning that its actions would have consequences and that it would pay the price.
Russia said that as Britain’s involvement in the war increases, “the price to be paid will rise.”
The UK Ministry of Defence responded that it would not back down from its support for Ukraine, saying it remained committed to helping the country obtain defensive equipment.
Drones manufactured by two British companies were used in attacks on military and industrial targets in Russia, including oil refineries and Wildberries warehouses. Ukraine said some of the company’s large facilities had already been damaged.
Russia said that in the latest attacks, around 620 drones were launched toward the area around Moscow, with more than 180 shot down by air defences. Several people were injured in the attacks.
Ukraine, meanwhile, reported that Russian strikes in Zaporizhzhia killed at least two people and injured four others.
