Anthropic has introduced a new set of artificial intelligence tools aimed at helping financial advisers manage their work more efficiently.
The new service, called Claude for Financial Advisors, links Claude with investment and wealth-management platforms from companies including BlackRock, Charles Schwab and Addepar.
The tools are designed to help advisers prepare for meetings with clients, review investment portfolios and handle tasks after those meetings.
In addition, Anthropic has connected Claude with financial technology companies such as Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks. This gives advisers access to a wider range of financial information and services while using Claude.
Reuters reports that the launch adds to Anthropic’s growing presence in the financial sector. The company has been developing Claude-based tools for areas such as investment research, portfolio analysis, financial modelling and preparing materials for clients.
Meanwhile, competition among AI companies in the financial industry is growing. Anthropic’s announcement comes shortly after OpenAI introduced a version of ChatGPT for financial services, targeting investment bankers and equity researchers.
With the latest move, Anthropic is expanding the use of Claude in financial services and giving advisers new AI-based tools to support research, client meetings, and their daily work.
