The expanded global initiative features 48 national teams from all six confederations competing across 12 groups, and Rwanda will play a prominent role as one of the key hosts.

Rwanda to Host Two Groups

In a landmark moment for East African football, Rwanda has been selected to host two men’s groups in the 2026 edition of the FIFA Series, the only country entrusted with this dual role.

  • Group A (Kigali): Rwanda (hosts), Kenya, Estonia, Grenada
  • Group B (Kigali): Tanzania, Aruba, Liechtenstein, Macau
