According to the White House, Trump, who is nearing his 80th birthday, spent three and a half hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he underwent dental examinations and a general health assessment.
In a message posted on social media, Trump said, “I completed my six-month checkup at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything went well […] I thank all the doctors and staff there.”
The hospital primarily treats military personnel, senior government officials, and veterans. This marks the third time in 13 months that Trump has undergone medical examinations.
Last year, the White House announced that Trump had been diagnosed with CVI (Chronic Venous Insufficiency), a condition that caused swelling in his legs. The illness commonly affects people over the age of 70.
Recently, photos also surfaced showing discoloration on Trump’s hand. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he explained that it was caused by side effects from taking Aspirin.
Trump stated that he is in good health and regularly undergoes medical examinations. He also suggested that other government officials should do the same. He further claimed that he feels the same way he did 50 years ago.
Responding to people who noticed him appearing drowsy or dozing off during meetings, Trump said it was not a sign of weakness, but rather boredom during long meetings, adding that photos of him blinking or briefly closing his eyes had been exaggerated.
In April 2025, Trump also underwent a medical examination, which concluded that he was in good health and fit to carry out his duties as president.
