The meeting was held at the RDB headquarters on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and focused on the agency’s efforts to attract and facilitate investment, boost exports, promote tourism and strengthen Rwanda’s competitiveness in the global economy.
During the meeting, President Kagame stressed the importance of maintaining focus on implementing initiatives designed to drive economic growth. He called for greater results-oriented performance, accountability and continued improvements in the way investment and business-related services are delivered.
The meeting comes as Rwanda continues to position private investment as a key driver of economic transformation, with efforts focused on creating a more supportive environment for businesses and investors.
The RDB Board of Directors is chaired by Itzhak Fisher, with Evelyn Kamagaju serving as Vice Chairperson.
Other board members include Alice Nkulikiyinka, Managing Director of Business Professionals Network (BPN) Rwanda; Ivan Kagame, who works in investment and finance; Liban Soleman Abdi; Dr Diane Karusisi, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Kigali; Eric Kacou; and Kassahun Kebede.
RDB is responsible for promoting investment, tourism and exports, while also helping investors access services and information needed to establish and expand businesses in Rwanda.
The meeting was also attended by RDB Chief Executive Officer Jean Guy Afrika and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Juliana Kangeli Muganza.
