Meta platforms reports strong growth in AI business tools and revenue in Q1 of 2026

Meta Platforms is experiencing significant growth in the use of its artificial intelligence technology designed for business activities.

During its first-quarter 2026 earnings announcement, the company revealed that its AI technology for businesses is now supporting around 10 million conversations per week, up from just one million at the beginning of 2025.

Although the technology is currently offered free of charge to small and medium-sized businesses in order to expand its reach, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company plans to introduce a sustainable monetization model for the technology in the future.

The company is also seeing notable progress in its AI-powered advertising tools, particularly through a new category known as Muse Spark.

More than eight million advertisers are now using at least one of the available AI creative tools in advertising.

The technology is delivering measurable results, as advertisers who tested the new video generation feature recorded a 3% increase in returns.

Financially, Meta recorded profits during the first quarter of 2026, with its apps generating $885 million, mainly driven by paid messaging services on WhatsApp and subscription fees from new users of its apps and premium services.

Overall, the company announced a profit of $26.8 billion, up from $16.6 billion during the same period last year. Total revenue reached $56.3 billion, representing a 33% increase compared to the previous year.
