The Prime Minister’s Office announced the decision on Monday.
Prime Minister Nsengiyumva is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, where he will present Rwanda’s views and priorities on key global and regional issues.
During the 81st UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister will also participate in high-level meetings, related discussions and bilateral engagements with various partners.
These engagements will provide Rwanda with an opportunity to exchange views with other countries and international organizations on issues of mutual interest.
The United Nations General Assembly is one of the major international gatherings bringing together UN member states to discuss global issues, including peace and security, sustainable development and other international matters.
